Last week’s collapse of the I-35W bridge into the Mississippi River is a tragic catastrophe for the Twin Cities. As the dust settles, many questions arise: What caused this to happen? Was it simply a random failure or is this the result of systematic under-funding of public services? What can we do to ensure disasters like this don’t happen again?
